Sprout Eden Cafe and Produce Store wholeheartedly supports local producers and Australian businesses. We are committed to building community and local tourism, together with protecting the environment. Our Grow for Eden project encourages local gardeners to sell us any amount of their excess fruit and vegetables to be proudly sold in the shop or used by our kitchen. Clever chefs create our vibrant menu which skillfully reflects the seasons while catering to a wide range of dietary needs. We strive for excellence in all areas - from our coffee to our customer service through to our recycling standards. We hope to provide a unique experience to locals and tourists alike so they leave Sprout Eden feeling happy that their purchase was delicious, healthy and ethical.

We first opened our doors in 2012, with the intention of establishing a unique, dynamic business while also hopefully assisting a struggling town. The industries of logging and fishing, which had featured prominently in Eden’s past, were winding down and the town’s survival was clearly dependent on a more tourism-focussed future.  You will find us in the heart of the coastal town, not far from the Princes Highway. With its fascinating history and incredible natural beauty, our little town is well worth a visit.

Hi!  I’m Karen Lott, proud owner of Sprout Eden. With a career spanning 30 years in travel and hospitality, a passion for creating happy events to bring people together, combined with the love of beautiful food and a dedication to local produce, I believed I had the necessary ingredients to make a contribution by starting this business. As co-founder of the quarterly Nethercote Seasonal Produce Markets I was aware of the demand for something similar but on a daily basis, and thus, Sprout Eden was born!
